Crawford’s main protagonist, Hero Regan, is young girl whose initial dilemma is one many kids will relate to - bullying at school. What makes The Hero Rebellion so good isn’t just the action. I loved this roller coaster ride and I read the entire thing in almost one sitting.

There are enough explosions, chases, battles and rampaging pards (fans of the series will know what I mean here) than you can possibly imagine. This is one of the fastest paced novels I’ve read in quite some time. It took me a little while to remember where I had left the story at the end of the last book, but a couple of chapters in and I’d caught up.Ĭrawford has absolutely excelled herself with this book. Regan was everything I hoped for and more. I’ve loved The Hero Rebellion series since I read the first book, Hero, several years ago and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the final book in the series.

(This review is based on an ARC edition of Regan which was still subject to editing.)
